Approach to the project

Reimagining train stations - contest of ideas. This international design competition focuses on new solutions for small and medium-sized train stations in the UK. There are already over 2,000 of them, ranging from small stops to medium-sized stations. We were inspired by the flexibility of the accordion as a musical instrument and the art of origami to obtain various geometric shapes to provide a remarkable experience to travelers and the community. It is a structure that can contract or expand, gradually tilting, changing its direction horizontally or vertically depending on needs and context. The modular and prefabricated structure is reinvented in the assembly process: a structure that can be brought on site on a train car and assembled using a railway crane in a few minutes.
